Training in a special skill which may well supplement an RYA course.
A certified RYA course.
A theory course in Seamanship or Navigation.
The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) set
(in our opinion) the best training standards in the world aimed at leisure users of the sea. EM Sailing is not an "approved
teaching establishment" within the meaning set by RYA, simply for a commercial reason of cost. We have the right
credentials to apply for the "approved" status; we’re just not doing it at this time.
This means that (at the moment) we cannot offer you RYA courses unless we work with an approved teaching
establishment (which happens often). If a course we promote is an RYA course, we will tell you which other
organisation we’re working with. It may be that we provide the instructor, or that we have "arranged" the
course to suit existing clients of ours and there is space for you as well. Occasionally you may find that you
are not making your cheque payable to EM Sailing, but to the "partner" organisation.
If it is navigation or theory you want, perhaps we can fix something that fits your requirements.
If you have a special training requirement in connection with using the sea, drop us a line and perhaps we will either try to set it up for you or know someone that
can!
