NPCA Solent Autumn Rally 2009

  • A "social" weekend of good company.
  • New Parks Cruising Association Autumn Rally.
  • 2 nights on board a Sailing Yacht.
  • Go Friday October 9th and return Sunday 11th
  • Dinner ashore at Royal Southampton Yacht Club at Ocean Village.

Starting from a Solent Port, the intended itinerary:

Friday  October 9th:    Late afternoon or evening: join the yacht. Safety brief. Perhaps go to the River Hamble and join other New Parks crews. Meal on-board.

Saturday  10th:           Bit of a race in the Solent with other yachts from the Association. Lunch at Anchor or "Hove to". Arrive at Ocean Village Marina in the late afternoon / early evening. Dinner ashore at the "Royal Southampton Yacht Club" (may be a dress standard).

Sunday  11th:             Breakfast followed by sailing back to the port where we started out from. Return Yacht to base about 3pm. End of trip / rally.

Yacht Armadek Included in the price: Yacht Charter, Evening meal on board on Friday, Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday and Sunday, Tea/Coffee, soft drinks, and Gas for cooking, parking at the hire base. Your place at the NPCA rally dinner at "Royal Southampton Yacht Club" on Saturday evening. Entry Fees for the Rally.

Not included: Travel to and from the Solent Port (although this will be co-ordinated so that people can share travel), Fuel for the Yacht, Hire of Wet Weather gear, a share of the Security / damage deposit, Alcohol on board, Marina fees. £5 Membership Fees for NPCA (if you're not a member).

The yacht will be MCA coded. Suitable for all levels of experience from novices to Yachtmaster, previous sailing at Sea experience is not required. You will be expected to help to return the yacht in a clean condition to the Chartering Company.

2008 PRICE CUT!

Cost: £219 per person plus £5 membership fee for NPCA, if you are not a member. (You might have to share a cabin) plus £10 to rent waterproofs for the weekend.

OR book two people together sharing a double cabin for £399 (+membership fees +waterproofs, per person). Big Saving! Ask about even bigger savings if you book three or more persons together in one application.

Team Cap and Shirt

A well made baseball style Cap, with the EM Sailing logo and embroidered with the words "NPCA RALLY" and "OCT 2009" for the sum of just £7.50

A blue "Polo Shirt" embroidered as per the Cap. £13 each, please specify S,M,L,XL or XXL when ordering. Note, manufacture depends on minimum order quantity. If we do not receive enough orders, you will receive a refund for any of these optional extras ordered.
